Terms And Conditions

Please note: deposits do not apply to the Folding Chair, Folding Wine Barrel Bench, Toilet Seats and Wire Baskets. These items will be paid for in full when you check out.

Payment

We require a 50% deposit using a valid Visa or MasterCard credit card to initiate your online order. Upon receipt of your deposit, we will send you a written confirmation to ensure your order information is accurate. The balance will be due prior to shipment. When your order is nearing completion we will contact you to arrange payment. For balance due payments we accept money orders, personal checks, Visa and MasterCard.

Changing or Canceling Your Order

Buying furniture is a big investment and we want you to be confident in your order before it is placed. If you have placed an order by phone, fax, or through our website that you wish to change or cancel, please contact us right away at (707) 822-7307. We realize that changes are sometimes necessary, so we will give you time for that.

You have 15 days to make any changes or cancellations to your order.  After that, if you cancel, we will retain 10% of the value of your order. The remainder of your balance will be refunded within 15 days.

If you have a change in your upholstery or wood finish, call us right away. Those are the last in the process of completing your order, and changes can usually be accommodated.

Sales Tax

If your furniture is shipped to or picked up in California, we are required to charge applicable state sales tax of 7.25%. Please note that shipping fees are taxable.

Shipping Your Order

Most of our furniture is delivered by FedEx Freight. Your furniture will be carefully blanket-wrapped and crated for shipment. The freight company will deliver your furniture into the garage, where you may uncrate it. Please let us know if you live in a remote location or have special scheduling needs.

Our shipping fees are billed on a per order basis. We bill based on actual costs for crating and freight. Freight fees are based on the weight of the order and the distance from our shop in Northern California. These fees cover our costs only and do not earn a profit for Whit McLeod.

We build handcrafted furniture to order; therefore most items are not in stock. Most orders take 12 to 16 weeks to build. Delivery takes an additional 1 to 2 weeks depending on your location. Shortly after your order is placed, you will receive a written order confirmation with a completion date. When your order is complete we will contact you to schedule a date and time for shipping.

Custom Orders

Custom orders are welcome. Plan on a custom order taking an additional 4 to 12 weeks of production. Call or e-mail us with inquiries (707) 822-7307.

Our Guarantee

We fully stand behind the integrity of our workmanship. With proper care and the usual wear of daily use, a piece of Whit McLeod furniture should become a family heirloom.

If there is ever a problem with defective workmanship or material (not due to normal wear, misuse, neglect, or abuse) during the life of the original owner, just let us know and we will either repair or replace it.
