Mission Tasting Table

Inspired by the California branch of the Arts and Crafts family. Originally conceived as a tall freestanding wine tasting table—its height keeps wine glasses comfortably nearby. Also serves as an excellent kitchen island. Or any other kind of standing table you can think of. Known to draw crowds.

MATERIAL: White oak from salvaged wine tanks. Quarter-sawn, with smoky burgundy highlights. Tanks removed from Robert Mondavi Winery in 2000.

FINISH: Hand-rubbed shellac with wax. Fumed in the traditional way with ammonia for a medium to dark brown coloring.

PRODUCTION TIME: 8 - 16 weeks
