Prairie Settle - Full, Spindle or Panel

Only our largest, most figured tank staves are used to construct this piece. We’ve given traditional design a slight twist by setting the rear posts at 45 degrees for added structural integrity and a form that looks sophisticated at any angle. A visual oasis. Traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery throughout. Available with beveled spindles or panel sides.

MATERIAL: White oak from salvaged wine casks. Quarter-sawn, with smoky burgundy highlights. French oak casks first put to use in 1905. Cresta Blanca winery, Livermore, CA.

FINISH: Hand-rubbed shellac. Fumed in the traditional way with ammonia for a golden tan to dark brown coloring. Burgundy wine staining on legs with a hint on the arms as well.

UPHOLSTERY: Leather, hemp, or customer-supplied material. Ships with 4 down/ feather filled pillows.
