Hexagonal Oak Flooring (patent pending)



Hexagonal Oak Flooring Tiles are Whit's newest revolution in recycling used wine barrels. The barrel ends used here are set aside from our Wine Barrel Folding Chair production. They feature alternating tongue and groove edges milled to National Oak Flooring Manufacturers Association (NOFMA) specifications. Installation is glue down. Whit is a licensed hardwood flooring contractor (C15) and has been manufacturing and installing some of the finest floors since the early 1980's. He is available to consult on installations.

SIZE: Full 3/4" thick. Tiles are 20 7/8" x 18" (diagram left)

MATERIAL: Quarter-sawn white oak from discarded oak wine barrel heads (ends).

FINISH: Unfinished. (That's the installers job after the floor's in) The floor shown was sanded and finished after installation. Tiles are also available in a rustic look, with the original burgundy patina or branded side up and an edge detail. (See our Wine Barrel Side Table for photos.)
